Hi, I could ask for advice.

Hi, I could ask for advice. I have a Laser Web 4 installed on Raspberry 2 and a connected 10 "LCD panel. Unfortunately, I did not realize that Chrome is not available for the Chrome armf. Is there a possibility (a browser) under which Raspberry can be viewed and work on LaserWeb?

Thank you for your help.

@Martin_BorgMcz at the moment LaserWeb4 need lots more power than an rpi2, regardless the compatibility of the browser. Ill recommend you get a more powerful system.

Note that an rpi3 can be used as a server permiting you to connect from a PC

And is there any difference in system performance consumption between LaserWeb3 and LaserWeb4?

Yes, but laserweb3 is old, will not see any new development and lacks many of the new features and improvements . I used LW3 on an rpi2

A Raspberry Pi 2 or 3 works fine as the server (gateway between network client and machine), but not for the frontend, which needs chrome on a good performant PC.

If you already have installed lw.comm-server on the pi, you can connect it from a PC with chome on the url “rpi-IP:8000”.

Raspian has Chrome, and you probably need at least RPi 3. That said, I have not tested.

Raspbian has only Chromium, Chrome is not ported to Armh.

It doesn’t matter if Raspi has Chrome or Chromium, it doesn’t have enough RAM and Power for the LW4 frontend. Even RPi3.
