Hi,
I created this lamp with White PVC Pipe (original idea is not from me, find it on Pinterest…). I added some Leds, arduino Nano and used Fastled for rotating colors and crossfading colors.
Really beautiful, and great innovative use of PVC!
What size pipe is it, and how did you make the cuts?
Hi,
I did it with a jigsaw. The first cut is easy but the second is a little more difficult because the PVC pipe is not as strong (“rigide” in french") as it was just before.
Have a look here:

Thank you! I was wondering if jigsaw or router bit. From the other pictures it is clearly jigsaw. Looks great!
Nicely done. That has a interesting look.
Oops Mark,
This is 80mm pipe. I don’t find 6" White pipe.

For those kinds of cuts, you should alternate from side to side every couple of inches as you go down. Not as much floppity-floppity to deal with. If you’re REALLY lucky, you’ll have a tube of some sort that fits inside the tube you’re cutting. As you cut from side to side on the way down, you slide the inner tube down as well and tightly tape or clamp the outer tube to it.
Great tips, thank you.
And a beautiful and inspiring project.
