Hi I have a question. I have a folgertech prusa i3 and am having an issue. The filament is kinda getting stuck on the spool and then the extruder will start pulling up and cause one side of my print to have some bad layers. I have a bulldog extruder and then I have my old extruder that I would like to use to just pull the filament and use the main extruder for the printing. The issue is that the esteps are different. I am using a ramps board and it has an extra stepper motor port. I am wondering if there is a way to use that so it runs whenever the main extruder does and have it so I can change the esteps on it?

Why is your filament getting stuck? Is it woung properly or do you have a knot? Try rewinding
@Daniel_Joyce It is just kinda getting tight on the roll and the spool is not wound very well causing it to give tension on the extruder making the extruder pull up. I have kinda tried rewinding it but that does not work to well.
It could be just a bad filament holder. That is one of the first mods I did for my FolgerTech Kossel.
yea I am intending on doing that also but I would like to do this extruder mod since I already have another extruder and It would be the best solution
