Hi. I have been calibrating abs last night, but cant get better results. Using slic3r. Ihave 0,4 mm nozzle and the strange thing is that extrusion width for perimeters, infill, solid infill I have set up to 300% and still looks like there is lack of material. Infill overlap is 20%. Any idea how to improve it? Thanks

Control your e-steps per mm for the extruder.

Another howto: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-calibrate-the-Extruder-on-your-3d-Printer/

If you want more material you need to increase flow rate, not extrusion width. When you increase extrusion width 300% your printer tries to do 1.2mm perimeter.

Could be mechanical backlash, too. Check your belts and pulleys!

This might sound dumb but when I started printing place with a fan on my hotend constantly running the extrusion width sucked and I did the same. You don’t still have the fan running from pla prints do you?

If you are using the advanced extrusion width settings keep in mind that they are computed over layer height (don’t know why). So if you have 0.2mm height your 300% widths will be 0.6 Try setting them all back to 0 and work on/calibrating esteps according to above links.

thanks… jep extrusion width isnt same as flow rate  now its much better
