Hi. I just got a Sunhokey prusa I3 kit a few weeks ago. New to 3d printing but I managed to assemble and get it working without too much trouble.
It came with 2 rolls of filament… plexiglass frame was cut nice with laser but is not very rigid design. Probly fine to run slow but who has time? Cost about $225 ebay.
I am mounting it on a plywood base and printing upgrades to the machine to make it more rigid for better print quality and to try to run prints at higher speeds.
Also got a nozzle set .4 .5 .6 .8 1.0 mm nozzles. I am having pretty good luck using the .8 nozzle on larger prints and .3mm per layer resolutuon. This is a real time saver.
Future mods… main power switch and fuse, power meter, control board cooling fan. Existing mods are lttle feet to hold the corners square, lead screw braces top and bottom…all the yellow parts are printed mods. I need to print the right top brace for lead screw then a center brace and it should be pretty rigid. My top braces have channels for the frame to hold it square and hold the verticle shaft and leadscews solid. Using mods from thingiverse plus adding my own.
Cheers
