Hi, i'd like to connect a 5m / 150 APA102C led-strip to an arduino.

Hi,

i’d like to connect a 5m / 150 APA102C led-strip to an arduino.

Should i apply resistors between the arduino and the strip (DATA, SYNC) and how big should they be, if they are useful? For the current i have a 5V/12A PSU.

You can try a resistor in the range of 200-470 ohm on the data line.
I’ve been using 470 ohm and place it on the end of the data line just before the LED strip.

Ok, thank you. In the Syncline isn`t a resistor necessary?

I’ve never used one on the clock line.

You can add 200 Ohm on data line - but I figured out, that the APA102 is much more stable then WS2812 ICs. So in most of the cases you do not need any low pass - because the noise is not that critical because of stable timing depending on the clock line

Thanks for this hint… great community!
