Hi! I’m a designer and I’m looking for a 3D printer. My budget is about 1500$. Can you suggest me the best choice?
Thanks!
Ultimaker or Mendel 90
Lulzbot is also an excellent choice in that price range. Avoid Makerbot.
a delta is my recommendation.
What do you think about witbox and wanahao replicator 4x?
Ps. Tnks for the answers!
A BCN3D can also be a good choice. More information here : http://www.reprapbcn.com/en
@Nicola_Brucoli , reiterating from earlier, I would not recommend the Replicator in any version. Their cost does not match their reliability and performance compared to the other options listed.
I haven’t heard much of anything about the Witbox from @BQ111 , but @foosel might have some input.
I can say that I was quite impressed with the print results of the Witbox, I really like the self contained build and contrary to Takerbot bq embraces Open Source (including OctoPrint development ;)) so you can actually use it with the software you want and not the one that’s dictated (and sucks or doesn’t even work).
@Tony_Olivo tnks for the answer.
@foosel and what do you think about Prusa i3 hephestos?
In my city there is an official bq reseller.
@Nicola_Brucoli that’s a great kit too, @Matthias_Lewen-Riege might be able to give you some independent view on that one
I brought my Prusa i3 Hephestos to work, where we can compare it to an Ultimaker 1, Ultimaker 2 and some Replicators.
Everyone here is impressed by the quality and while it might not quite reach the Ultimaker 2, it’s really great and reliable for the price.
Attach an OctoPi + Cura and you’re ready to go
Recommending the Felix 3.0. Assemble the Kit by yourself and you’ll be a 3D-Printing Hero in not time - because you know what you’re doing.
I’m considering all your suggestions. I think that my first 3D printer will be a Prusa i3 hephestos! But, surfing on the net I found the Robo 3D. What do you think about?
@Nicola_Brucoli le stampanti sdm non le hai prese in considerazione?
No, @Matteo_Zirconio proponimi qualcosa
