Hi!

I’m thinking about getting into resin cast and I’ve read a post in make talking about innovative polymers IE-3075. I’ve google it (also amazon and ebay) but I can’t find a place to buy it. Do you know where I can find some? Or another resin that has similar properties?

My plan is create molds with 3d printed parts to make smoother and better looking parts for small batch production.

I don’t have an answer for that resin, but JB-Weld (or other filled two part epoxy) works surprisingly well for that purpose.

(In the US, JB-Weld in particular can be bought at auto part stores.)

As I understand it, Lulzbot started their in-house printer farm using cast reproductions of their 3D printed originals to expedite the expansion.
