Only real thing you need to import to Simplify is nozzle size, bed dimensions. S3D for me is great if you’ve got a REALLY terrible model you need to print and other slicers can’t figure it out. It’s got good repair algos, and it’s good at meshing the outsides together.
I’ve been using S3D for a while and have learned about a few of the fairly tiny idiosyncrasies of the user interface. I’ve tried to use a couple other slicers and found they are missing features or are no easier to use.
Is there anyone who has used S3D and stopped doing so due to a severe dislike of the program?
Luis, if you have a common or brand-name printer, you can often download the profile from S3D or from a support site for your printer. On the flip side, it’s quite easy to identify the necessary parameters and manually create the profile.
The web site provides for 14 day money back guarantee. One must create a log-in to use the program, which means it likely can be disabled once the refund is processed.
Did you check the S3D web site and enter your printer name in the field for checking profiles?
