what kind of glass do you use on your hot bed, and where did you get it?

I use the cheapest glass my local hardware store sells. It’s about 3mm wide, and it works well with Kapton tape on it. A piece that is 300mm square is about $2.50 USD.

I use borosilicate glass which has a very low CTE. It can be purchased from McMaster Some people have issues with commodity glass cracking because it has a higher CTE. It’s so cheap though it can’t hurt to try it.

@korpx I went looking for those at the Denver Ikea store and they didn’t have 'em. :frowning:

@Mike_Miller oh that’s too bad. I guess a local glazier(?) could help you out but it’s hard to beat the price at IKEA.

yeah, I paid $25 for a custom round 6" piece for the 3DR
