I actually use both, but 1.75mm more lately.
I also use both, but I’m beginning to favour 3mm.
@Bracken_Dawson Interesting. I started with 3mm so I’m more comfortable with it, but 1.75mm seems a lot more common these days so I figured I had to give it a try. Horses for courses perhaps.
2:1 is surprising. I’ve heard of sales figures like 5:1 to 10:1 favoring 1.75mm filament. Next time I get the opportunity, I’ll ask.
@Jeff_DeMaagd Are you measuring by length, volume, or just asking people on the internet.
Maybe 3mm people print less than 1.75mm people. Maybe a store sells 10 times the length of 1.75 filament as the length of 3mm (derp).
