Home sized plastic grinder to grind up old prints so that they can be reclaimed as fresh filament!!
Heck YEAH!!! I had already threatened to start saving my milk jugs, now it’s gonna happen!

I’ve been saving all my failed prints for this reason!

I was under the assumption that everyone was saving their failed prints for this reason.
Soon we’ll see homeless ppl with bags of soda cans AND plastics to sell for food $$.

Yeah I agree with @Thomas_Sanladerer I think the quality of any filament you make is likely to be suspect.

You don’t use pure recycled filament you add it to 50 to 75% of pellets
Or if you use pure recycled use it on a duel head and use it as infill

Do any of you have filastruders?
Check the specs and calculate how long it takes to extrude one (1) meter of filament. This technology is nowhere near replacing shipped 1kg spools and my never do so.

I have a Filastruder. It takes about 3 minutes to extrude one meter of filament - more than twice as fast as your printer can use it!

As long as the 'struder is on while the printer is on, you’re in business.

Whats the quality of the filament like @Tim_Elmore ? I’d love to know if these things actually work

Well to be fair, I’m the guy behind the Filastruder project, which is what Mike was alluding to. SO, don’t take my word for it - here’s another user’s experiences: http://www.soliforum.com/topic/4108/my-filastruder-and-results-so-far-abs-and-pla/
