I recently replaced my smoothie board and in setting up the new one, I am having a homing problem. I have checked the end stops using M119. They work as expected. I can home each axis independently and using M114, can see that it worked. But, when I try to home all three at once, the x axis motor starts to vibrate and movers very very slowly until it completes the home. Brand new config and new Edge download.

Not enough PSU current ?
Maybe try setting your homing speeds lower and see if it works better ?
Thanks, but its the PSU that the other board used. I can home one axis at a time with no problem and the printer is printing very well. I can move all three axis at once with no problem even when homing, until the phase where the axis hit the end stop and then moves away and then returns to the end stop. That is the activity that is so slow and vibrates.
Are you using leadscrews ? This sounds like a resonnance problem.
Try playing with your slow homing feedrates and see if changing them up and down helps
Yes I am using leadscrews. I will try changing the slow homing rates and see what happens. This isn’t stopping me from printing, but it does slow down homing.
Yep, leadscrews have resonnance issues at some speeds ( typically slow ones ). Solutions include not using those speeds, adding rotational dampers ( flywheels ), or increasing microstepping.
