Hot end Cooling fan just randomly quit… While searching for the issue it randomly resumes operations… I fear this is foreshadowing something bad for my e3d chimera on takai-san…
Pay attention to where it’s wired up, it could be shorting or not connected well; which can cause a fire.
Thanks buddy, ran a multimeter with some difficulty… Lots of wiring on the 5ft tall machine. I think the wiring is solid but I’m doing a test print and churching periodically to see if I need to replace both the fan and wiring it just one or just the fan.
Often these fans just give up n fail, often again, an open circuit develops and or bearing fail just replace on spec. Check all connectors etc.
