hour 1. step 7 of 64 done on my Printerbot Simple kit. It’s going to be a long day.
The instructions can be cryptic (and sometimes difficult to find!), but it’s fun and satisfying to build.
Post when you’re done and ready for some upgrade ideas (glass for bed, for sure).
The instructions for the post Nov kits seems decent. It’s just slow going. Esp. carefully cutting out all the laser wood parts.

Cutting out the parts? They were all separated in my beta kit.
Yes, I have to cut them out of the laser cut boards. I probably should have done that all before hand.
Sounds like the laser didn’t cut all the way through on yours. Mine pretty much fell apart.
The second half is going a lot faster, now that I have an idea of how the laser parts go together.
@Joshua_Marinacci I was building it really quickly and had looked through the build docs before i got the box. It took me around 4 hours.
Didn’t get to finish it before 5 when the nanny left. Back at it tomorrow.
If you get the “printer commands waiting” check the FAQ you will need to disable a reset on connect
Whoo hoo. Finished the build. Only twice did I have to take something off, adjust, and reinstall. The instructions are a bit iffy towards the end.
