Looks like they may be using a blue diode laser for sintering. Seems very similar to the Sinterit Lisa, I just hope it is much more affordable. I have been wanting to build an sls for a few years now, and blue laser diodes are finally at a decent power rating for sintering polyamide.
I spoke too soon. Looks like they are using a 10W IR fiber laser. Starts at $10k 
It’s definitely not desktop. It’s the size of a large dorm refrigerator.
