How do you avoid having to pay for a booth at Bay Area Maker

How do you avoid having to pay for a booth at Bay Area Maker Faire? Well, you strap your showpiece to your back! Check out how @Mitch_Cerroni runs a full 3D printer as a backpack, using LiPo batteries and @OctoPrint !

LOL I really liked his idea

Hero101?

@Francis_Lee it’s not hero101, that is a DIY custom made printer.

@Florian_Horsch_flouS did that at a fair in circa 2012 or 13, but his backpack was a much heavier wooden ultimaker which prbably was a painful joke, while this one seems much appropriate :smiley:

@Francis_Lee I think it’s a seemecnc eris.

There always has to be one! Does he also play the one man band?

I saw Naomi Wu wear one on the train down to the shopping district while printing a model. The print came out okay too.

@Michael_Rankin I just hope she also had a dress on in addition to her printer :wink: Still, don’t read me wrong, she really is an outstanding maker and a super social activist (kudos).

I talked with that guy Saturday night at MRRF while mooching free beverages at the MatterHackers booth :slight_smile: Really nice guy and super knowledgeable. I think it’s SeeMeCNC Ares?
