How high of a voltage can you get away with on WS2812b LEDs?

How high of a voltage can you get away with on WS2812b LEDs? I bought some of those hobbywing UBECs and when I connect it to a SLA 6v battery I’m reading an output of 5.33v (the ubec has a jumper to select 6v or 5v and I do have it on the 5v.) The package mine came in just says “red wire 5v” and doesn’t give a range. Think I bought from Amazon, but not sure of the specific supplier. I might just have to cut some off and test out myself until they burn up, but thought I’d ask.

Just to clarify by “the package mine came in” I’m referring to the WS2812b LEDs.

WS2812B data sheet lists power supply voltage rating of 3.5V to 5.3V.

Thanks for the info. I ordered a few of those UBECs and found one that was under the 5.3v barely! Get what you pay for I guess…I ordered cheap ones from AliExpress.
