How many people know about the “Dollo” 3d printer? I’ve started printing my own but this is it put together in Blender.
It looks like a proof of concept rather than something you’d actually use to get good prints.

My advice here is to go and bay industrial rack and pinions for better print quality
It’s a sympathetic project of Ben and Benjamin Engel where the user can 3D print a large part of the Dollo but the Kickstarter didn’t make it and the project since seems abandoned. My guess is that not many have been built so it hard to tell how it will perform.
@Eric_Buijs There is one person who I’ve been talking to actually has one put together when the project was dieing down. Mine is half way built at the moment but as far as I know we may be the only people actually working on it. As far as performance goes it’s not terrible, but obvious not industrial grade. I would say probably a Makerbot on its prototyping setting, for a comparison.
