How the hell did I get to be the guy…

…That managed to clog an e3d?

Playing about with Kisslicer, which seemed to generate MUCH better results than Slic3r, but fiddled about with the fan (yeah, I should have had it wired to constant 12v, that was my failing.)

So I have filament even with the top of the Aluminum heat sink, and with it at 250C, can’t seem to push new filament through.

This is one of those ‘Disassemble and run a drillbit through the heat-sink’ kinda mornings, isn’t it?

Meh. nevermind. I was able to remove the fan, get everything ‘warm’, and twist off the Aluminum heatsink while holding the hot end with some needle nose pliers. A little declogging and .1 less Z envelope, and fan constant on will have everything right as rain, I’m sure.

@Mike_Miller , in configuration_adv.h there is a hot end fan section that will always have the fan on if the temp is above 50C, and turn it off when not in use. You have to set the fan pin, but you can find that in pins.h

I’ll look for it when I change the Z-level.

Man, kisslicer makes this thing act like a whole different printer.

Try Cura. I always come back to Cura.

Noted, I’ll try it next!

2nd vote for Cura. Made my printer dance.

Does anyone know why the nozzle is clogged at 250 C? I had the same issue with PLA and an e3d extruder.
