Never again since I started using hairspray.

@Rick_Zehr Glue stick? What brand? How do you apply it and take it off the glass after the print for the next print?

I’m liking an Ultem build surface, once there, there’s nothing to apply, spread or reapply.

i use glue stick, just cheap Elmer brand glue stick… i just rub the stick on the previous printed spot and print again. when the build plate gets to messy i just soak it in the sink to clean. then start over.

@Steven_Hauser you have to reapply after every print? With hairspray, add long as you let the print cool after you can keep going. I’ve been on the same application for months now.

@Joseph_Larson good to know. I did try hairspray with limited results and found it very messy but it could have just been my brand or my lack of experience with it. I do find glue stick quite easy to work with and it works on both ABS, PLA, and Nylon bridge. If i run into problems i will give hairspray another shot. thanks

Some hair sprays do better than others. One person I know loves Suave Max Hold 8. It doesn’t work well above 70˚C, but he still successfully uses it for ABS.
