Tabs not needed. Screws are put through the bores before profile it cut. It was just doing the brush channel in this OP.

@Julius_Jahn yes by the sounds of it. Correct cutting should slightly challenge the spindle motor. Leaning on the power. It’s a compliment.
Tabs, that inside profile cut that popped out will break a bit one day.
