Huh. While trying to work out what the hell is wrong with my micro extruder setup, I cleaned out the nozzle of my e3d hot end with a bit of 3mm trimmer nylon I had lying around and as it was already loaded, I thought I might as well push some through at a higher temperature. Turns out it prints quite nicely. Took a while to find a sweet spot temperature wise and I clearly need to retune my PID for 240 degrees but default settings in Kiss give a much nicer print than ABS for this calibration piece. The wire is also crazy consistent in diameter, 2.95mm +/- 0.02mm (ish) . Gonna go buy more tomorrow (and some desicant to dry it out)
What brand line is this?
@Stephanie_A CAn’t find the damn packaging - I’ll post here once I buy some more but i suspect it will be some random New Zealand brand that isn’t available in the states.
