Humidity Specifics?

So I stumbled on an analog thermometer and hygrometer combo at the thrift store for 25-cents and thought “hmm, I can throw that in a filament storage container or printer enclosure to monitor humidity.”

I can find, and have found, lots of references to keeping filament dry and the humidity down, but no specific numbers. Does anyone know the specific percentage to shoot for, or not go above?

I haven’t seen any RIGOROUS testing, but my personal experience:

  1. ABS, PLA, and PETG should be stored below 40% RH
  2. Nylon and polycarbonate should be baked/dehydrated initially and then stay below 15% RH
