I added some music syncing goodness to the LED chandelier I made for the Modern maker podcast “Two 2x4 Challenge”. This LED chandelier is made from two 2x4s and scrap acrylic, along SK6812 WWA LEDs. The fastLED code is patched together from a few music syncing examples I found around the web and a couple of the FastLED examples (which don’t sync to the music). The idea for this light was to have an “adult” light with nice warm white light most of the time, with a hidden party ready to come out at the touch of a button.

Music syncing fun starts https://youtu.be/D8aMW_xeDEM?t=0m33s into the video.

Great project. I like how you embedded the acrylic into the wood.

Nice selection. Joe Satriani. Nice chandelier as well.

@James_Minihane I grew up loving Satriani, but actually that is Eric Johnson - Cliffs of Dover

@marmil . Thanks! Full build video is here if you are interested in the process: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afCQyWPxHIc&t=10s

Thanks @Mike_Clifford I always think it’s fun to see how something was built.
