I already purchased from misumi… So I cannot use this. But I figured some people would like $150 of misumi product.

Thanks @Eclsnowman !
I just ordered some 25mm extrusion to have for future builds. I’m hoping shipping won’t be too expensive.
How long is this going on for? I REALLY want to start parts for a cartesian, but I’m at work and really can’t look at it for another 10 hours or so.
I think march 31st. No rush.
NICE! 8mm rods, connectors and extrusion for frames!
Available in US and Canada only.
So only valid in 2 out of 200 countries anyway.
Some local thing.
Ordered stuff to get started on an Ingentis.
Hmmm… got a “processed” email that did not include the discount. Should I call customer service?
@Carlton_Dodd you have to do some stuff with their accounts people wrt to creating a terms account. “Companies placing an order with MISUMI USA, Inc. for the first time by using a Corporate Account will need to mailto:emailTerms@misumiusa.com with the subject line: First150 Promotion Terms Account. You will receive, by return email, all necessary forms to open a Terms Account.”
I was told the credit would not show due to there billing system. The credit will be applied when they charge your credit card.
Here is what Carey from Misumi told me: “On when the discount gets applied… You won’t see it come off the order (we have a cruddy order system), but you’ll see that the amount you get charged will be -$150 off your order. Does that make sense?”
So has anyone successfully received the discount? This might be the catalyst I need to finish my printer design
A friend of mine did yesterday. It’s legit… Unfortunately it’s USA & Canada only.
@Tim_Rastall , that email address sent me got returned. @Eclsnowman , did your friend have to open a Terms account? From the Reddit page, it seemed like you just had to add the First150–Reddit to the special instructions blank.
@Sonex128 Thanks for the info. I suppose that I could contest the charge with my card company if it comes through as full price.
@Eric_Moy just added First150–Reddit to special instructions. When his card was charged it was the correct amount.
@Eclsnowman , excellent! I was debating on just getting a bunch of raw material extrusion and machining it at work, but then I can to my senses and realized that is end up with a bunch of aluminum sticks in my garage that way, so I’m going to design the enclosure and but it as a kit. For those wanting to do the same, here’s a link
So, I pm’d the misumi rep on Reddit and she reckons you don’t need to complete the terms application to be able to cash in the discount.
My issue is that their parts are quality. Quality = pricey. $150 wouldn’t by the 8mm ground rods and bearings for my next project, where the fly-by-night ebay retailers would.
Honestly, that’s one of the hardest things about this hobby, you can spend $500 or $5000 and get nearly the same end result, it’s knowing where you can go cheap that’s difficult.
