I am building a Hypercube 3d. I already have ordered the e3d V6 hot end, I want to add dual extruders. I am looking at the Prometheus System. Before I click buys, is there anything else I should consider using?
What are you plan on using Prometheus System for?
Different materials or just 2 colors? Dissoluble filament?
Mostly pva structure, but also daul colors.
@Thomas_Sanladerer Do some test on Atom3D 2.5EX and find that PVA when use the same hotend with other filament make it not completely soluble, some leftover plastic in hotend seem to have the effect on PVA, but I guess it need more testing to confirm that.
Do you know of a better option? Do you have a link to that video?
I don’t have answer for that since I still haven’t start built my new printer which I also aim for dual extruders, but I think I will go with 2 hotends and 2 extruders on magnetic tool change.
PVA has a reputation of being harder to purge. Multi filament, single nozzle setups are better for color changing than material changing.
