I am in love. We just started selling the Raise3D N series printer that have an auto restart function when power dies or otherwise stops mid-print. I am a bit lost for words on just how well this recovery system works. Awesome!!
The printer is run on a PCduino board so it keeps the gcode status saved. This print had been dead for 7 hours before I restarted it.
Awesome.
SWEET…
I pulled a power cord from a power strip today, not the printer’s cord, but managed to push the power strip’s power button. The printer stopped cold, of course.
I could have used that feature, but in this case, it’s less expensive for me to buy a UPS or just stop doing stupid things with power buttons.
@Ross_Bagley this printer has a backup battery. Once the main power is cut, it remembers the last executed gcode and then safely shuts down the system. Once you power it back on it asks you if you want to resume. I forget if it moves the head to the park position or not. I haven’t tried this feature myself. The printer itself is pretty damn good on its own too. Touch screen, WiFi, live visual progress of the print, enclosed chamber, etc.
That video file is way too big and will not play properly.
@Ashley_Webster the calibration is manual leveling but comes pre-leveled out of the box. I’ll share photos soon. It’s running on Marlin so you can load up whatever you want but I am really enjoying the UI. Has tuning setting which Ill show in a photo as well. Just gotta get home from work first.
I love the cameras. I also love the fact you can use octoprint. It seems like a well thought out machine.
@Ashley_Webster Here are photos of the UI for tuning, manual operation, and two pics of the bed height / bed leveling screws (which are pre-done with aggressive DO NOT TOUCH!)
gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous!!
Are you bringing it to MRRF this weekend?
@William_Steele my car broke down and I had to use the money for going to MRRF to fix it. Womp womp.
