I am looking for recommendations on good quality PLA in an assortment of colors. The only spool I have ever purchased was directly from @Printrbot and while it seems like excellent quality they have none in stock right now. They also have a very limited set of colors. If you are willing I would love to hear from folks regarding their preferred brand and source. Thanks.

@Vik_Olliver has had a lot of experience with PLA, so if you’re in the USA: Printbl.com - best quality PLA you’ll get. Expensive, but quality. Also one of the wider selections if I’m not mistaken.

@ThantiK Sadly it does not look like they carry 1.75mm. Sorry, I should have specified that originally.

I’ve had good luck with the justpla seller on Amazon.

I’ve gotten 2 rolls so far from DeltaMaker via Amazon. Both are good. More consistent diameter that then original Printrbot partial roll. They come with desiccant in the bag.

I was going to mention DeltaMaker filament, but I work for them. It’s good filament, but I didn’t want anyone thinking I was being biased. We had a hiccup with our black filament, but that’s been since fixed. We actually use the same producer as MakerBot uses for their filament, minus the evil of actually giving MakerBot your money. We actually run it kind of high in our machines too; 230C, but I run it in my i3 at 190C just fine.

Best results I’ve had are with Ultimachine PLA, especially translucent colors.

I recommend PrintedSolid.com I have had extraordinary customer service and the PLA they carry produces some awesome prints.

I’ll second the prinbl although like you said they’re 3mm only. Protopardgim is my go to. I’ll have to give DeltaMaker a try.

I found http://www.repraper.com/ in china decent (forgive the name…)

http://toybuilderlabs.com/ has the best-printing PLA I’ve used.

For the EU is it still #Fabberdashery?

faberdashery is definitely the best, I’ve found http://reprapworld.com to be the cheapest (EU) and it does the job.

@ThantiK , good to know you guys buy from the same supplier as Makerbot. Their ABS seems to have more consistent diameter and melt temp than proto paradigm, but the last few orders from them have been a total clusterf#ck, as they hired a new army of customer service reps for the holidays, apparently not training them well.

And I’d much rather fund members of the open source community than further fatten the pockets of MBI/Stratasys

@Eric_Moy , too bad we don’t stock ABS. :frowning:

I’m working on that though. =D

Drop an e-mail to sales@diamondage.co.nz and they’ll supply you with 1.75mm direct.
