I am looking for som HW advice. I am building a LED controller for Ws2812B.

The controller has a webinterface for settings. So far so good. Now i even have a webclient doing a poll every second. This creates the timing issues with FastLED.

I have been able to solve it by putting LED and webclient poll on different Arduinos with Wire communication however im looking to create this as cheap as possible ergo all code on one unit.

I need a Zero or MKR memory wise to run the desired amount of LEDS, so any rekomendations… Is there something i have missed… The timing issues became better with the Zero but still getting irradic bahavior of LEDs…

All input is highly appreciated… Thanks…

I think an esp12 could handle both, it operates at 80mhz, much faster than your Arduino. If you supply the wa2812bs with 3.3v you won’t even need a level shifter, though the LEDs will be dimmer

If you don’t need the latest master branch, the photon works great too.

I like the Wemos d1 mini. Simple small ESP8266 devboard with autoflash mode.
