How big is big ?

Size of a Chair

Yikes, good luck, I don’t know about commercial 3D but I doubt there is anything that can spit out parts that large.

I think you are going to have to print small things and assemble into larger thing. It’s a bit like eating an Elephant sandwich.

Interesting
Aren’t there commercial printers that print big things?

@Dr_Steven_Shoshany_C Not yet, won’t be long though. 3D printing is still at the stage Desktop Publishing was in the late 80’s (ahh, good times). Hang in there.

Taulman is printing some large parts in one piece. I am not sure exactly how large. http://www.taulman-3d.com

Some Objets do around 20x30x20 iirc. That’s about the biggest I’ve ever heard.

If you scroll down to earlier posts you’ll see a 3D printed dress where they used kinematics to fold the dress to make it small enough to print in one go. If the design can be made to fold too you may have more luck finding someone that can print it for you. If it has to be printed in one piece then it may be easier to build a custom printer for the task first - there are many designs that can be easily scaled up. I’d pick the CoreXY. What material does it need to be printed in?
