What’s a laser film?

Laser film is a protection for stainless steel and sometimes aluminium sheets before to be laser cut.

It’s probably a variant of PET tape. Might be LDPE though.

We use to call it PVC but it’s not exactly this. Monday I will check the technical documents. Novacel makes some kind of films.

Print-in-place chainmail always gave me adhesion nightmares. Lots of tiny fiddly points to break loose during the print.

Where did you get the film from?

@Keith_Applegarth my factory have some spools, we bought it to protect the parts we make (stainless steel and aluminium). We bought it maybe 2 years ago, i need to find the data sheet to know exactly where it comes from. It’s something like “Novacel” but it’s not from them.
