I am very interested to know what other DIY mini manufacturing devices there are out there in the spirit of 3D printers - like superlight duty micro lathes/mills etc. Anything that allows us to make other things on a hobby budget in a small space. Preferably made with the help of a 3D printer.

I remember the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rrh6Pl4vow from a few years back, but would rather like to see machines where functionality/practicality has priority over 100% printability.

Anyone got something to show-and-tell that doesn’t show up in basic Google searches?

Edit: If any of the moderators find this post too off topic I can post it to my circles instead

I made a PCB-vice as an alternative build platform for PCB milling and a Dremel flex-shaft holder.
But in reality I’m using a large CNC machine with the ability for electric height probing and support for subroutines in G-Code now.

Thanks for posting this. I knew I’d seen it but couldn’t find the files.
Time to fire the printer up…

Cool, but why is this post pinned?

Ask the moderator who pinned it.

oopsie, mine is not 3D printable, but it IS intended to be bootstrapped and will include a 3D printer… http://www.cubespawn.com and https://picasaweb.google.com/103828779781480193226
