I am working on a longer install project, that is architectural in nature. The project calls for an LED matrix to be installed on the ceiling of the elevator waiting area.

My question is, does anyone have any recommendations for dependable long install RGB led matrix panels? Thanks.

The controller is running fastled octows2811 and DMX e1.31

@Chris_Rees yes! Did you make that from scratch from strips or are those panels?

I am interested in panels, so that if a pixel dies a panel can be replaced.

This is done by Andrew Gardner in Australia. It’s plywood with drilled holes and he is using ws2811 through hole 12v pixels. Each pixel has a threaded body with a ring nut to secure it. The pixel also has the JST connectors and they connected in a vertical zigzag with appropriate power injection points.

I helped with the controller parts and the code to get it going
