Sure is either user error in the case of the recent spate of twisted spools, there is no way to wind a spool twisted, it’s you fault deal with it! Likewise I’ve never had cause to declare a spool of filament as cheap rubbish and I tend to buy whatever my supplier has on the shelf so unless I lucked out that my Chinese stock is always the good stuff a well made printer will always just print. A strong feed fear and in the case of pla, a ptfe lined barrel should just work, the end.

I had a roll of clear PETG that had little chared bits throughout. Printed fine ^^

I have had bad filament, diameter ranged from 2.7 to 3.2mm
It was brand new and completely unusable.
