I bought some PLA filament over 3 and a half months ago from one of our local suppliers. I still haven’t received my order. A 3D printer without filament is pretty useless. Does anyone know where I can buy PLA filament in South Africa?
Please don’t buy from these guys. They are no good at honoring their obligations to their customers.

I would rather pay more than have to deal with these clowns again.

PLA is available on Ebay. You would also have protection on your money through paypal if anything were to get screwed up.
You can buy filament at http://alfa-tech3d.com , have PLA and ABS in 1.75 and 3.0 mm in 20 different colors, you can buy a kg coil or buy meters.
Considered straight from China? I’m buying abs at 35usd a kilo and it arrives at my door in about 10 days. It’s also good quality btw.
I have tried the ebay route but our customs are very unreliable. I have lost a few shipments because our customs confiscate it. They don’t always accept ebay invoices as a proof of purchase and without proper proof, they confiscate the items. (I don’t know what they do with it?)

For the same reason I can’t buy through ebay, I can’t buy form China. However, do you have any details on your Chinese supplier? I may give them a try.
@berry_jordaan
Search http://aliexpress.com there are plenty of them
If you are considering buying in bulk try http://alibaba.com
@Tim_Rastall I know I should know better but I bought 4 rolls from these guys. They are very cheap and with courier fees, it works out at about R314 per roll before customs. That is a good price for us in SA. I just hope I get it. thanks for the suggestion
