the rich have alot of ways to manipulate the market. most of us here are just trying to do the same thing in a different way and make a difference. all they have to do is make an offer and rebrand or remarket it in a whole new way and the whole world will be wowed over by some existing brand name. China has the most resource to produce cheap things, it will be very rare to have anything wholly made without any involvement from made in china parts. if we need to have stuff made not in china, well i think we should start with boycotting our own mobile phones lol. i wonder … will it be possible for any country to do without china?
@3roomlab It’s true that corporations have so much power that they can manipulate markets. I do like to see companies become successful based on great products that will allow thousands of designers to get their ideas to market, where previously it would have been way too costly.
@Tyson_Quick I have to admit that I struggle to understand certain valuations of companies. Maybe I’m old school, where a companies value is based on revenue and projected growth. With Tumblr and Instagram they are buying technology that has a proven user engagement. There is no revenue. They deduce some value by extrapolating the potential of the users and engagement and market share… Put it this way, you have to have a ton of money to make those bets.
