I don’t know what’s going on , but the logo was not printed… doesn’t matter ABS or PLA…

check your slicer and output gcode - most probably the logo wasn’t sliced correctly.

I will do that , to be honest with you , I don’t know what I need to do …

what do you use to slice and print? most of the programs let you examine the gcode they produce before printing - make sure it looks good. you may need to do layer-by-layer visualization for areas in question.

I will do that right now , I using Repetier and Slic3R… thanks again

In Repetier, in GCode view, slide through the layers and see if what it is going to print matches what you want it to print
I’ve had several instances when Slic3r failed to slice models properly, depending on the version - 0.9.x vs. 1.0.0rc…

Repetier 052 for mac and slic3r 1.0.0

Are you using the .stl provided from grabcad or generating an .stl yourself from the .stp? I made my own .stl and it worked fine in Makerware.

I’m not familiar with stp files or cad programs, but It should be better and i will try

Ricardo, you don’t really need to know cad for this project. But it is helpful. 3d printers use use a special file type which is .stl. It is actually just a text file that lists a lot of triangles. The slicer programs open the .stl and create gcode. Typically, .stl files are not the true shape, but an approximation made of triangles. Maybe the .stl doesn’t show the text very well. But since other people used that same .stl I would guess it the slicer program which is causing you problems.

Hi Joshua, what application I could use to open stp files?

I typically use Solidworks, but I also have ProE and Inventor. If you want I can send you the .stl I used to print with, but I if the issue is with the slicer it might not change anyhting.

awesome , Thanks , I really appreciate that, I’m going to try use the stl provided by you … I got an old version of slicer

Ricardo, can you get on google hangout and I will send you that file.
