“This site is operated by China European e-Commerce Limited, we were part of the group that provided warehousing and delivery services to Makible for the MakiBox products. We agreed to take Makible stock in leiu of payment for our services – that is the stock that we are selling on this site.”
So those of you who didn’t get your MakiBoxes, they’re being sold to pay for debts owed. If you still had money in this, it’s guaranteed gone. It’s also highly possible that this is a scam… http://www.makiboxclearance.co.uk
@Prins_Jonas_Hello Supposedly those funds were spent on other things, and these printers were given to the shipping company as payment for unpaid invoices.
At least that’s what we’re supposed to believe. I wouldn’t touch it with a 10 foot pole.
The Makibox home page has a blog post that mentions, “Makible is stuck with goods in our shipping company, held up due to lack to payment to them, and components in the warehouse that need assembling.” …so this might be legit(ish).
If it is a scam, it is very strange that no one is trying to say it is. It is on their forum, on Twitter, and Google+ and none from the company commented on it.
There aren’t exactly many people left in the company…
What I can say is that this is not the company that held the stock (as far as I was informed anyway), but their claimed address is in the same/neighbouring building.
If someone is eager to know, one might ask Red Hare Ltd., which should have had the stock.
I saw this and the filament is quite cheap for UK prices, couldn’t work out if it’s worth ordering some or not. PayPal should have you covered but still a PITA if it doesn’t show up or is shit.
I see john taking a verbal bashing here but this should be a warning to others planning Kickstarter never to trust a Chinese hedge fund to start up. http://www.makibox.com/forum/topic/3050?page=2
