There was a thread on here a while ago about the dark draw of the various controller chips. Mark and I even pulled together a chart with some of the measured numbers people gave us. I think you need a way to cut power to the strips when not using them if you want to save power.
Oh that’s not what I was after. I already knew of the phantom draw, and I have circuit in place to cut them off. The ghost I was chasing was the last line in that chart … Unit isn’t powered, drivers aren’t connected … and yet there’s a micro draw. It’s back feeding back into the MCU through that ADC pin.
