I finally go my filament down to around 20% humidity. Now with a combination of that and correct bed levelling for the right first layer height, I now have reliable printing again. I have 1kg of silica gel in each of my boxes of filament. Started out with 500g in each. Had to re-dry the gel out a few times to get the humidity that low.
How did you measure humidity?
I keep mine in a plastic box similar to yours, I route the filament thru a hole in the lid. The spool is running on ball bearings. And to keep humidity controlled I put a few bags of silica gel on the bottom.
@Mathias_Dietz I have a digital temp and humidity gauge as well as the coloured dots you can see in the photo.
@Niclas_Oberg I would like to do that as well. I currently have one ball bearing spool holder. Do you use a single holder in your box or do you have one for each spool?
I got 1 spool in the box. I used a wooden dowel to hold the spool holders. Just drilled 2 holes in the sides of the box to mount the dowel in. I’ll post a picture later.
