I fixed up which firmware I was using, to now use the firmware-cnc.bin from https://github.com/Smoothieware/Smoothieware/tree/edge/FirmwareBin

Results are compared to yesterday’s test with the Smoothie-edge.bin that I got from http://triffid-hunter.no-ip.info/Smoothie.html

The firmware-cnc.bin is a lot nicer. Comparing to the original image it looks almost exact.

Cooool. Quick question. Are you always placing the item in the same spot?

@Ariel_Yahni_UniKpty The one today was at 0,0 whereas the one yesterday (right in image) was at 200,0 because there were 3 previous tests before it. So, only difference was the firmware change & the slight offset along the x-axis.

If not to much trouble can you try one more time at the same spot as the others. A change in coordinates can render different results base only on alignment. At least for me that Im always moving everything

You know what? Forget about that. The idea is you keep using the same spot that’s giving you best result
