I got side-tracked by the idea of making a 3d printed tie that draped more like fabric, and finally finished it over the weekend. I think it came out well, though I’m planning to print a 2nd with a colored pattern.

Very cool man!

Does this go around your neck?

Nice design! I would wear that puppy to work!

Definitely making one of these!

Making of these for sure

“And that’s how I dodged a bullet!”

NICE!

@Jerry_LePore , yes!

Awesome thanks…

Ok, I need this!

is this 3 d printer revolution not just the greatest thing since fire and indoor plumbing?

How durable is it? I mean, can I tug on it like a regular tie and it won’t break apart?

Fire! I understand some people print that too…

@Adam_Rachwal , the mono filament version is robust. I’ve been throwing it around the room and it’s been fine. A regular thread or ABS thread version would probably not fare as well.

itd be way cooler if it had a sort of snake scale or fish scale where it overlapped to hide the seams… ud be pimp styin then … ,and use a combo of red yellow and orange on top of back…like flame tip outer edges…

@Robert_Bentham I like it. Will think about it for v2.

Congrats on the feature at Thingiverse! I knew it was gonna happen!
