I gotta tell u guys...

I gotta tell u guys… so fat Cut2D has been good to me :slight_smile:

How much did it cost?

@Dat_Chu $150… I just notice a little wobble on my Z axis… What would that do to my parts? Do u know?

Depends. Which kind of wobbling?

The side wheels were not touching the guide at all

@Dat_Chu are the rail wheels suppose to be snug against the rail?

I don’t have a shapeoko. My guess is not snug but should touch.

wish i could watch your video, but it isn’t coming up for me. :frowning:

@Frank_Graffagnino
shows like it’s uploading… :frowning:

I CAN’T BELIEVE IT!! All this past couple months I’ve struggled so much about all my parts being undersized when cutting with shapeoko, I was quick to blame the CAM software… all that was: “loose X axis trolly” :frowning:

I really use the heck out of CUt2D; I cut some MineCraft “Steves” from an Instructable last night, based on the PDF in the instructable. Really simple process to turn those into parts in Cut2D. Can’t post a picture here, but I’ll post it in DIY CNC.

@Bruce_Lunde So far cut2d is doing really good, simple and good options (tools) offered, I like the interface too… I wonder if u can slow down the cut preview?? Mine does the whole preview within 2 seconds!

@javierymirna from the vectic forums: You can slow it down a bit by setting the quality to Best on the Toolpaths/Preview Simulation Quality menu.

@Bruce_Lunde
Thanks Bruce!! That did slowed it down some… :slight_smile: Man I’m loving Cud2D!! It’s easy and I like the fact that you can always come back and modify the original file and remembers that last settings you entered! :slight_smile:

I’m glad that you are enjoying Cut2d. It sure is a very well designed piece of software. There are so many amazing things that you can create with it.

@Royce_Meredith thanks for the tips Royce! :slight_smile:
