I had some fantastic frost on my 3D printed fence posts today - this is part of a longer term experiment for 3D printed things in our lives (inside and out)

What 3D printed things do you use in your lives today?

I’m really interested in anything that’s doing something practical in your life you have 3D printed yourself.

If that is PLA it may be gone if there is squirrls around.

Did you see my catalog of everything 3d printed in my home?

One of the first things I designed and printed was a holder for various spools of electrical tape, wire and solder. It’s been really useful for keeping things organized!

@Chris_Thompson1 No, where is it, would be great to take a look.

@Wayne_Friedt It is PLA, are squirrels partial to a bit of PLA then? - it’s stuck down very well with Gorilla Glue.

There was a post or 2 that said they made a bird feeder out of PLA and the squirrels ate the feeder along with the bird food. I can understand it sense PLA is organic i guess you call it, made from corn ect.

I have some 3D printed parts in use:

Is it enough? :slight_smile:

@Wayne_Friedt raccoons, not squirrels (iirc)

@Richard_Horne I use a cradle holder for my Nexus 4 wireless orb charger that I printed myself. I’m totally in love with the concept of being able to print things that are useful in everyday life. (I needed this because I cracked the back glass, which prompted me to get a back cover which made it not stick to the wireless orb charger :slight_smile: )

3DPrinting++! :slight_smile:

Sure, for instance a fix for our external door (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:46437)

@ThantiK I am pretty sure my Alzheimer is setting in at 49.

The lift on my office chair gave in, so I 3d printed some spacers to prevent the lift from sagging. Basically a 3d printed object keeps me “up” all day. :slight_smile:

@Thomas_T_Sorensen let me have a look at your holders, pls. As far as I can 3D print that’s one of my first tasks… so I need ideas :wink:

Maybe try laywood next time?
