I hadn’t been keeping an eagle eye on the community for the past few days - but a quick glance didn’t indicate anybody shared this here yet.

Adobe Photoshop supporting 3D printing. I have finished reading the article, so I’m not sure of its impact yet.

This is good because it is showing more mainstream acceptance of 3d printing but why buy Photoshop to 3D print when there are already a ton of free open source tools already available?

My thought is that Photoshop users may venture in to 3D with their already otherwise familiar tool more so than the 3D printer community is likely to venture into the Photoshop world just to gain that tool.

good point

Or totally ignore it. As its another big firm turning up to the party late and expecting old users of their products to give it a try.

@Rojer_Wisner Sure that’s what they’re planning…

Since PS has had some basic 3D stuff built in for awhile now it was probably easy to add STL export and give them another bullet point for selling it. PS is great 2D software and I love it for that, but for me when I think of doing anything 3D I never once think about using PS. I’m curious who will find this useful and how they use it in their work flow.
