i happen to randomly run into this link. i thought it was some kinda china made rip off, but it is actually a cute pint sized little brother version of ultimaker. i cant read jap btw. but it seems to be really really compact and the print product pictures looks like very good resolution (i bet they are inspired by ultimakers print volume efficiency). the print plate also has some of the new ultimaker 2 refinements (plate leveling spring screw thingy)
(edit : i threw the website into google translate. it seems that this is like a kickstarter project in japan. looks like they finished it @ $10.5mJPY/USD103k) anyone tried japanese engineered 3dprinters?
the basic printer looks like costs USD780
Holy hell, that almost looks like my latest TITAN design. But that’s impossible as I only draw it last few weeks.
o my lol, i guess where good designs are, thats where everything else will sort of land on in terms of thought/design paths. like your case, even myself, i never thought somebody will “miniaturize” the ultimaker
hang on, TITAN? 1m x 1m x 1m?
anyway speaking of titan sized, this is the x-axis of the machine i never completed. it has a travel of over 850mm http://3roomlab.blogspot.sg/2013/04/041-x-axis-revisited.html
The TITAN is a joke name. It’s actually a 20x20x22cm machine
