I have a couple of Melzi boards, some Sanguinololu boards and even a few RAMPS that I want to unload since I am switching to Smoothie. Does anyone want them? I have at least 2 of each. If you want them, make me an offer.

Hahahahaha…yeah. i just love the ease of configuration. I am also looking at retiring my still new RUMBA boards too. Eventually all my DIY printers will ditch the RAMPS model.
@Samer_Najia hello there, I’m looking to get into 3D printing and building my own machine. Would you recommend any of the board you have for a beginner, as it were? Cheers!
@Craig_Hissett , where to begin. I suppose a Sangui or Melzi might be a good start. The Melzi has all the parts on it while the others have the driver daughter boards on sockets. But both of these may or may not come with Marlin or even a bootloader. This is why I like Smoothie. Feel free to ping me over email snajia@gmail.com if you need more detail.

I was educated by the Brits so some things don’t go. When I’m miffed some of my schoolboy accent bubbles through but my mixed breed upbringing along with my American influence dominates accent wise
Ha ha ha, I couldn’t possibly comment on accents; nobody south of Yorkshire understands a proper North East accent
I had trouble being understood when I came here for university before moving back
