I have a print to make but the .stl is oriented wrong for printing. Is there an online or open source tool that can rotate this file 180 degrees ? I don’t have the source file.
thanx !

You can do it in TinkerCAD if it’s not too big.
Netfabb free version will do it, if you know scad you can do it in that. If you’re using a reprap then i think kisslicer will do it before printing by right clicking the part.
If you are using Repetier Host to drive your printer, you can rotate parts in any axis (usually 90, 180, 270) to place on the bed.
Cura will let you do this as well.
@Mark_Durbin Did it in Tinkercad ! Thank you. I use Slic3r and pronterface so I will look for those features … never had to in 11 months of printing !
Most slicers will let you rotate and scale a model before producing gcode.
@Shachar_Weis Slic3r will scale and rotate but only around the Z axis. I needed to rotate on the x or y … ie print upside down. Upside I will kook into Repetier and other software to see what I may be missing. Winter has come and time indoors is greater !
I use RepGv40 to do my repositioning.
@William_Frick Cura can do that, or you can edit the model with FreeCAD, TinkerCAD or MeshLab, Blender (all free)
Thanks everyone !
Me too, @David_Cushing . It’s a super annoying fact that RepG is way better at this than any program that has come since.
