I have a prusa i2 and was wondering how I would go about getting rid of the wobbliness in the print.
is that a Squirtle???
Yes
Props to you bro, that’s pretty cool
My advice, slow down the speed, or make sure the bars are well lubed.
Make sure that all nuts are tight and the machine is very squared up. Lining helps too. Making everything tight will dramatically help the print quality. The prusa i2 and original are not that great designs due to the many nuts and rods that can come loose.
The periodicity of the pattern in the wall suggests to me that you have the same problem that I had a few months ago with improperly adjusted Vref on the stepper controllers leading to errors in microstepping. Have you checked to make sure Vref is adjusted properly to match your stepper motors?
I designed some modular x ends a while back that has essentialy killed my z wobble. if you want i will link them.
tighten nuts, make sure belts are good, make sure pully’s arnt slipping. adjust vref for stepper drivers, print some cross member braces for the printer i can link those as well. I have used those on my printer since day one.
Changing the z threaded rods to 5 mm from 8 mm will get rid of z wobble. There are a number of designs in thingiverse that are quite simple.
It’s hard to tell from the photo, but z banding can also occur if the z steps vary due to microstep errors.
